About The Whip Artistry Studio ...

The only permanent facility in the U.S. dedicated to the study of Whip Artistry!

The Whip Artistry Studio is part of the GLD Enterprises & Productions entertainment group. It is the only permanent, full-time facility in the United States dedicated to the non-combative study of whip arts. This is a permanent, professional facility, not a hobby or part-time setup. We offer whip lessons and workshops at our studio in a fun family setting for all ages. Our educational programs are designed around the everyday person's interest in whip artistry as a fun sport and performing art. Our lessons are available at our studio and at your location. From general hobbyist to seasoned stage performer, your instruction is customized to what you want to learn and moves at a pace appropriate to the development of your skills. We have been a permanent facility for over a decade and our managing director has been a whip artist and instructor since the 1980s.

The Whip Artistry Studio also offers non-combative professional whip artistry and is the home school for the Society of American Whip Artistry.  Our comprehensive instruction allows a student to test his or herself against objective goals and gives them something to show for their graduation through the various skills of the whip that require a lot of hard work and practice. Outreach 

Most of our coursework can be presented on-site at your location and are often scheduled far in advance of their presentation date. Travel and other fees apply along with the regular course fees for on-site training. We also offer the world's only WHIP ARTISTRY PRO SHOP featuring one-of-a-kind whip artistry accessories, whips, and holstering equipment used by film and television productions.

Our instructors can offer on-site outreach programs to schools, 4-H clubs, Boy and Girl Scout groups. Whip artistry is fun and educational for all ages. Students exposed to the art of the whip gain an understanding of various points of history, literature, science and math. Whip artistry may actually be safer than most contact sports because of the great care taken by The Whip Artistry Studio instructors to insure Safety is our number one priority.

One of the biggest benefits to working with The Whip Artistry Studio is the peer interaction. From holiday social events to open weekend practices, this is a great way to meet other whip practitioners and study your craft. The whip is a unique skill to learn and there are only a handful of qualified and experienced whip coaches in the country.
